My February Birchbox

What I've tried so far:
Marcelle Make-up remover for sensitive eyes~
A clear, non-fragrant eye make-up remover. Smooths on easily, although it does seem to be a bit on the oily side. Reminds me of Clinique's "take the day off" remover, but a little oilier. A nice size for a trial sample.

Supergoop CC cream with SPF 35~
It's suppose to be a "multi-tasking" cream that protects the skin from sun damage, acts as a primer and a foundation. It did nothing for me. I like to use a moisturizing product with the SPF included. This product does not provide moisturizing properties. For a foundation, this light/medium color I received, did nothing for my skin, and my skin felt a little dry after application. An all in one product? I'll pass.
That's all that I've sampled so far. Maybe I'll do a part two later. Stop back!

Good finds here! I love trying new and different products out there. I don't have really sensitive skin so don't confuse my pores terribly by doing so :)

Post July 4th workout and update

I took off a week from running since my legs were hurting everyday, all day. So it was a bit challenging to start back up this week. I'm so greatful for the cooler mornings that we've been having. Today: 1.77 miles Weight: let's not talk about it; I'm on a see-saw right now. Eating fairly well. Staying away from sweets. Bought a new swimsuit yesterday, so can start swimming when it is too hot to run or walk. Not your traditional swimwear; I wanted something to exercise and do laps in. It's more for cross-training. January 2015 Nature Box subscription picks

I tried some new snacks in this months box, so get ready for some chocolate! ~dutch cocoa sun-crunch These are cocoa flavored sunflower and sesame seed clusters. Medium strength taste wise on the chocolate, but I love the saltiness of the sun-crunch itself. 6 grams of protein per serving; that's pretty good too! ~dark cocoa almonds~ If you like dark chocolate, you'll love these! 4 grams of protein on these per serving. ~dark chocolate berry trail mix Out of the other trail mixes that I've tried from Naturebox , this one is my favorite. It's a good mix of dried fruits and nuts, including cranberries and cherries, cashews and pistachios, plus tiny chips of dark chocolate that gives it that flavor punch. 4 grams of protein ~flax fortune coins~ Taste just like flattened fortune cookies with the added benefit of flax seeds. Flax seeds are full of omega-3's, and are said to be good for helping reduce your risk of heart disease, cancer, stroke, and diabetes

Classic Wisdom for the Professional Life edited by Bryan Curtis

What a great book of inspirational quotes by many famous people. This is a compilation of pages and pages of wisdom from authors, presidents, sports figures, entrepreneurs, cultural leaders, and the like. I really enjoyed reading this book. The quotes are not just inspirational to professional people in the business world, but also, they grasp the sense of good values, and positive traits that all persons should strive for in their lives. Some of the quotes make you think and ponder over them. The book is presented in a non-descriptive cover, subtle, yet attractive. It is an easy read, not overly stuffed with nonsense, or too much content. You could read a page a day for inspiration, or daily meditation. It is not a biblical book at all, in my opinion, just great reading. I would definitely recommend this book to all who wish to aspire to a greater level of success, whether it is in a business situation, or not. This would make a great gift book as well. Maybe a coffee table book even.
